Senior Compliance Officer – Monitoring

We are recruiting for a global market infrastructure provider based in London, looking to hire a Senior Compliance Officer – Monitoring to join their EMEA Compliance team. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to take ownership of the firm’s Compliance Monitoring Programme across its MTF, RMO, and DRSP services, while also supporting central compliance functions and regulatory engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Compliance Monitoring within trading venues or market infrastructure firms, with a solid understanding of MiFID II/MiFIR requirements and the UK/EU regulatory landscape.

Duties & Experience required include:

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Compliance role within Financial Services (Trading Venues / Market Infrastructure preferred).
• Strong knowledge of MiFID II/MiFIR and related areas such as transaction reporting, algo monitoring, market abuse, RTS 7, and AML.
• Experience leading or delivering Compliance Monitoring programmes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversight of key Compliance tasks including regulatory applications, training programmes, and annual certification processes.
• Involvement in preparing for meetings with regulators such as the FCA, ESMA and AFM.
• Strong report writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality MI and Compliance reviews.
• Prior management experience, with the ability to oversee and develop junior team members.
• Confident operating independently and engaging with senior internal stakeholders.
