Risk Documentation Officer

Our client, a specialist UK bank with a strong corporate and commercial lending platform, is looking to recruit a Risk Documentation Officer to join its Credit Risk & Documentation team.

This role will support the Team and will play a key part in ensuring all lending facilities are properly documented, executed and controlled in line with internal policy, credit approval and regulatory expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Preparing and negotiating facility agreements and associated security documentation for mortgage lending, short-term lending, trade finance and other approved facilities
• Working closely with the Legal Team and external law firms on the drafting, negotiation and progress of facility and security documentation
• Ensuring the execution of all documentation is completed in line with the Bank’s policies, procedures and credit approval conditions
• Ensuring all documents are duly executed and all credit and legal conditions are satisfied prior to drawdown
• Monitoring expiry dates, renewals and key deadlines to ensure ongoing compliance

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in the preparation and negotiation of facility and security documentation within financial services
• Experience managing end-to-end legal documentation and due diligence for lending transactions
• Good understanding of banking, credit risk and legal documentation processes
• Previous experience in a bank, lender, legal or credit risk environment is highly desirable
• A degree or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage
