Overview

A subsidiary of a well established Insurance firm is looking to hire a Senior Risk Manager to join their business in either their London or Kent offices. This individual will have one direct report and from time to time will have to travel to their European office for a few days every month.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of the risk management framework and related policies & guidelines.
  • Provide oversight, guidance and challenge to the business activity in relation to operational risk & control assessments.
  • Manage the risk review process.
  • Conduct regular qualitative stress tests on strategic, insurance, credit, liquidity, market and operational risks.
  • Manage and continue to develop fellow team members.
  • Travel to other UK & European offices.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven Risk Management experience working within a similar Insurance focused business.
  • Strong understanding of FCA, PRA & ICOB regulations.
  • Previous management experience desirable.
  • Ideally you will hold an Insurance Risk Management Qualification.
  • Comfortable with some travel to other offices in the UK & Europe.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
